Best Saugatuck wine tours
Approximately 10 miles away from Saugatuck is Fennville, home of Fenn Valley Vineyards. Fenn Valley produces a delicious selection of red, white, sparkling, and fruit wines, as well as speciality wines. The tasting room is open 7 days a week and offers tastings, but the bcttest way to experience Fenn Valley Vineyard is on one of their tours. Choose a Private Tour, a Food and Wine Tour, or one of the regular tours, but no matter what you’ll choose, you’ll get a fascinating look at how their wines are made, as well as wine samples.
Although Tabor Hill Winery is located an hour south of Saugatuck in the town of Buchanan, their Wine Port shop is in Saugatuck. Tabor Hill Winery is part of the Lake Michigan Wine Trail, and offers a wide range of wines, semi-dry whites like 2010 LMS Cabernet Franc Rose, to dessert varieties like the Ice Wine Vidal Blanc. You can purchase their wine at their Saugatuck Wine Port, or go to the vineyard or a tour or tasting.
Head down I-196 for about 20 minutes and you’ll reach South Haven. Not only is South Haven a popular vacation spot, but it’s also home to Cogdal Vineyards. Choose one of their blended wines, like Vision and Whitecap, or something more traditional like a merlot. Make sure you stop by their beautiful tasting room!
